Funder Meeting
Funders Together to End Homelessness: Understanding San Diego’s Shelter System
Thursday, February 6 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Funders Together to End Homelessness San Diego (FTEHSD), in partnership with the San Diego Housing Commission, invites you to join FTEHSD’s monthly meeting for an in-depth discussion on the City of San Diego’s homeless shelter system.
This session will explore the current shelter landscape, including how many beds exist, who is utilizing them, and if that capacity meets community needs, as well as the efficacy of shelters as they exist now. Speakers will discuss the intersection of philanthropy and the shelter system and what role funders can play in strengthening this essential resource.
Whether you’re new to understanding the shelter system or looking for answers to existing questions, no question is too simple or too complex as we go back to basics and examine this critical piece of San Diego’s response to homelessness.
Funders Together to End Homelessness San Diego (FTEHSD) is a collaborative of individual, public and private funders that explore and invest in effective systems change and services to end homelessness in San Diego County. The group is fiscally sponsored by Catalyst.
FTEHSD’s goal is to build a San Diego County collaborative of funders who are committed to solving homelessness through leadership, education, and advocacy; strategic collaboration, alignment and focus of resources; and effective promotion and replication of evidence-based practices in our community.
Target Audience
This meeting is open to FTEHSD members, Catalyst members, and invited guests who are interested in supporting investments to end homelessness.
