Binational Migration Funders Meeting
Monday, March 17 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm
At this meeting of the Binational Migration Funder Collaborative, we will explore the evolving landscape of migration at the San Diego and Imperial County borders. Through an interactive discussion, we will discuss priorities and emerging opportunities for philanthropy to play a pivotal role in ensuring dignity, safety, and support for asylum seekers, refugees, and immigrants.
We will also highlight the growing impact of rapid response networks in both counties, including Imperial County’s newly launched initiative, and an update on progress putting $1 million allocated to Catalyst by the County to work to provide support services for migrants and strengthen coordination among community organizations, local governments, and federal partners.
About the Collaborative
The Binational Migration Funder Collaborative is a Catalyst Funder Collaborative. Together, we seek to ensure the legal and wellness needs of all immigrants and refugees who pass from Mexico through San Diego and Imperial Counties are met, and advocate for sustainable permanent immigration infrastructure to help meet future needs.
