Partner Event
Sacramento Advocacy Day 2025
Tuesday, April 1 - Wednesday, April 2
Philanthropy California is back! This convening is a unique opportunity to connect with policymakers and philanthropy colleagues from across the State and emphasize the importance of cross-sector collaboration. Join us April 1 & 2, 2025 at the State Capitol for a day and a half of programming and legislative meetings. You will be fully supported with issue briefings, scheduling and a staff guide in every meeting. Come welcome a new Congress and find opportunities to partner with other funders, as well as public officials on critical issues impacting our state.
Sacramento Advocacy Day is pivotal to cultivating relationships with Congress and advancing the philanthropic sector’s priorities so that our state’s policymakers can learn from the best practices developed through grantmaking.
We will also provide an orientation session prior to legislative meetings. Sacramento Advocacy Day allows members to:
- Educate legislators and the administration about philanthropy’s role in civil society, ensuring that community voices are heard, and promoting coordination between the public, nonprofit, and philanthropic sectors
- Develop and cultivate relationships with fellow policy-oriented peers and policymakers
- Encourage legislators to view foundations as thought partners.
Registration will open shortly, save the dates for April 1 & 2, 2025.
Target Audience
This program is open to members of Catalyst, Northern California Grantmakers, and Southern California Grantmakers.
