Funder Meeting
Family Foundations Community of Practice
Tuesday, October 21 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Philanthropy is most impactful when it’s guided by the voices of those most directly impacted by the systems we seek to change. During this session, staff from the Fund for Shared Insight will join us to share how funders can listen in ways that shift power. We will dig into their Funder Listening Action Menu and the newly added Funder Listening Assessment, practical tools that help foundation leaders think critically about how to adopt practices and strategies that center community voices.
Participants will explore ways to strengthen their listening practices, respond meaningfully to community insights, and share power with people who have lived experience with the issues they are seeking to address. The session will include time for individual reflection and peer conversation, offering strategies and next steps participants can put into action as soon as they step out the door.
