Funder Meeting
Empowering Family Philanthropy for Meaningful Impact
Thursday, April 11 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
We are excited to launch Catalyst’s first-ever family philanthropy cohort. This cohort is for those who engage in philanthropy as individuals, through family foundations, or through donor-advised funds and want to maximize their impact with their giving. Family philanthropy offers a unique opportunity to create social change by being bold, taking risks, and being responsive to community needs. Fully tap into the potential of your family’s giving by joining us and building relationships with like-minded families and individuals.
In this first session, we will explore the four concepts of Effective Family Philanthropy from the National Center for Family Philanthropy. Participants will reflect on:
- How can we be held accountable to the communities we serve?
- How can we ensure equity is reflected in our governance, strategies, approaches, etc.?
- How can we commit to learning together as a family?
- How can we cultivate healthy relationships among family members, staff, community members, and grantees?
We also want to hear from you! This program will be designed for and by those in the cohort. There will be specific time carved out to gather feedback on future topics for this series.
Lunch will be provided.
Target Audience
This program is designed for family foundation staff and board, including DAF holders and individual donors.
