Do the Work: Imperial County
Thursday, September 29, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 5:30 pm
Registration is now closed. Please contact [email protected] with any questions.
Imperial County is both the youngest and the least populated county in California, and boasts an area more than twice the square miles of the State of Delaware. With agriculture accounting for almost 50% of all its jobs, Imperial County produces two-thirds of all the vegetables consumed by Americans during the winter. Home to the Salton Sea and an incredibly active renewable energy sector including solar, wind, geothermal and possibly one of the world’s largest lithium deposits.
Join us for this all-day session to learn more about this incredibly important, and too often overlooked and underinvested, region. Hear directly from organizations like Campesinos Unidos, who has been providing greater social, economic, educational and employment opportunities for farmworkers and economically disadvantaged residents of Imperial, Riverside and San Diego counties for 50 years.
Transportation and lunch is provided. Participants will be picked up and dropped off at the Catalyst office.
Safety Protocols
With the safety of our community in mind, we utilize a standard set of protocols for all in-person events. We ask all participants to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (waived for religious or medical exemptions) and to wear masks indoors. Please view our safety protocol in full here.

Sessions are available at no charge to anyone with a paid registration for Catalyst’s 2021 annual conference. A fee of $150 for members and $250 for non-members per session is required at registration.
