As of February 2024, Women Give San Diego is no longer active.
Women Give (WGSD) was a giving circle of Catalyst of San Diego and Imperial Counties, with 135+ multi-generational members. They funded programs that helped women and girls of San Diego achieve economic self-sufficiency and security.
Collectively, WGSD accomplishments honor the legacy of Jan S. Tuttleman, Founding President and visionary leader, and her shared vision to support women and girls in San Diego, especially those who have been traditionally and historically invisible. Jan’s legacy and the meaningful impact of Women Give San Diego lives on: with Jan’s investment and the hard work and dedication of Women Give San Diego leadership and empowered membership, WGSD will continue to benefit underserved women and girls in our community for years to come.
Since their conception in 2010, Women Give San Diego:
- Granted $1,885,900 in funds across 13 cycles.
- Worked with 48 dedicated grant partners.
- Awarded 61 grants.
- Gained 55 members in the first grantmaking year.
- Obtained, at peak membership, 158 intergenerational members.
- Engaged 300 women as members.Read a letter from the past Women Give San Diego presidents on their sunsetting here.

Catalyst will extend member benefits to Women Give San Diego members until the end of 2024. Women Give San Diego members will keep the same member benefits as before, including tickets for Catalyst socials, educational events, and our annual conference, and can continue positions they hold on Catalyst funder groups and board committees. At the end of 2024, access to these benefits will end and anyone interested in remaining in touch as a non-member can sign up for our newsletter.
