Tasha is a compassionate, peaceful, and kind-hearted advocate for foster care and social justice. She graduated from UC San Diego (Thurgood Marshall College) with an Ethnic Studies degree and a Literature/Writing minor. She was involved in Just in Time for FosterYouth’s Child Welfare Advisory Council. She was on the Advisory Board of California Youth Connections and was a delegate with National Foster Youth Institute. She graduated from the University of San Diego with a Master of Arts in Social Innovation. This program taught her so much about the tools needed to bring social impact in a variety of avenues, her focus being on foundations and grantmaking. She loves listening and learning from people’s stories and the art of storytelling. She loves creative writing and developing her craft as a storyteller/writer, hoping to author her first book in the next few years.

She loves to sing, play guitar, and perform live music. She enjoys adventure and international community engagement. She is a firm believer in equitable funding opportunities, the practical steps towards building a humane world, and supporting just causes. She enjoys finding new restaurants, exploring new places with friends and family, reading self-development books, and connecting with her church community.
