Connie Archbold Robinson is leading the launch of the Nonprofit Sustainability Initiative San Diego through her advisory practice, Sand Dollar Strategy.

Connie is a philanthropic and nonprofit leader, former foundation CEO, and seasoned donor advisor. Her firm partners with social sector boards, executives and teams navigating inflection points—from leadership transitions, governance and resource realignment to strategy, institutional evolution and deep community engagement. She previously served as Chief Executive Officer of the global Panta Rhea Foundation and as Portfolio Director at the James Irvine Foundation. Connie also chaired California’s inaugural Citizens Redistricting Commission from 2010–2020, guiding one of the state’s most complex governance processes.

Connie´s earlier leadership roles include Urban Habitat, Inland SoCal United Way, Peace Corps Bolivia and other mission driven organizations. She has also served as a trustee with SoCal Grantmakers and the national Funders Committee for Civic Participation.

With active roots in the Western Caribbean islands of San Andrés, Providencia, and Santa Catalina, Colombia, Connie is based in Oceanside, California.
