Are you interested in applying for the State of California Stop the Hate Grant? Join this in-person workshop to review the application together.

The Stop the Hate (STH) Program awards funding to qualified nonprofit organizations to provide support and services to victims and survivors of hate incidents and hate crimes and their families and facilitate hate incident or hate crime prevention measures. Catalyst was selected by the State as the regional lead for Imperial and San Diego Counties. We have been working with the six organizations selected in 2022 by the State for the first round of funding and are advocating in this second round of funding to bring further attention and support to anti-hate efforts in Imperial and San Diego Counties.

The workshop will include an overview of the grant goals and application process, plus time for discussion, questions, conversation, brainstorming, and/or assistance in understanding the application. It supplements the information already provided in the RFA and webinars hosted by CDSS in December and January; recordings of those webinars will be posted on the CDSS website. Lunch will be provided.

Another in-person workshop is available in Imperial County on Friday, January 13 and virtual open office hours will also be offered (January 24 and February 2). Interested applicants are welcome to attend as many workshops or office hours as they like; all are optional and do not impact the likelihood of receiving funding, which is decided by CDSS.
