This is a meeting of the Binational Migration Funders, a collaboration facilitated by Catalyst of San Diego & Imperial Counties.

These meetings are open to all staff, trustees, and donors of Catalyst member organizations and eligible guests who are interested in binational migration issues. We respectfully request that attendees refrain from engaging in fundraising and other development activities at all Catalyst events.

The group will advance its learning agenda around:

Narrative & Communications

Goal: (1) Contribute to redefining the dominant narrative about migrants and refugees in the United States, Mexico, and Central America through a multi-platform communications strategy

Goal (2): Develop multi-sector communications tools including a centralized location to access data and stories about the experience, policies, practices, and resources in the United States, Mexico, and Central America

Funding

Goal: Increased and sustained funding for organizations in the United States and Mexico that is responsive to needs as they shift over time and takes advantage of the wide variety of areas that funders focus.

Integration

Goal: San Diego and Imperial Counties and Tijuana are welcoming communities for all immigrants and remain so over time.

Policy & Advocacy

Goal: Policies at all levels of government (federal, state and local) and permanent infrastructure in the United States and Mexico that meets the needs of all immigrants.
