COVID and Community: Outreach and Messaging About the Vaccine

While elections come and go, the trusting relationships between residents and community groups that lead to voter turnout are critical throughout the year. This type of civic engagement support helps people access City and County processes; understand their children’s educational rights; receive information about health and wellness; and more.

Today, those relationships offer the opportunity to ensure that every person understands and can access a life-saving vaccine. The Census 2020 group that led our region to outperform the past 20 years in community response is coming together to coordinate on COVID-19 vaccine outreach to deliver a message across the county about the safety and importance of receiving the vaccine, and how to do so.
