Co-hosted by Asset Funders Network and TFN’s Smart Growth California, this webinar is a practical introduction to community ownership and control of assets—land, housing, businesses, commercial space, and worker-owned enterprises—and the through-line that connects them.

The webinar is designed as a 101 for funders, using key entry points into a broader conversation about ownership, control, and benefit: who owns assets, who makes decisions, and how economic value stays rooted in communities. Speakers will share what these strategies look like on the ground and what philanthropy is learning about timelines, risk, capacity, and impact.
