Funding Strong Coalitions: Supporting Effective Single-Sector Coalitions

This webinar kicks off the series Funding Strong Coalitions, a learning series exploring how philanthropy can strengthen coalitions. Funding Collective Power: How to Invest in Coalition Efforts. Bringing together perspectives from national and state-level funders, coalition leaders, and nonprofit experts, the session will help funders better understand the parameters, opportunities, and practical considerations of supporting advocacy as a strategy for systems change. It will also dive into the specific practices that enable funders to effectively support coalitions as a key tool within the broader advocacy toolbox.

Participants will gain concrete insights into what makes coalitions work, including how to define a clear and strategic scope, build shared and complementary leadership structures, and design flexible membership models that strengthen collaboration.
