The Senior Peer Cohort will meet eight times (four full day in-person sessions and four three-hour virtual sessions) from June to November 2026. Participants must commit to attending the following four in-person sessions from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm:

  • Session 1: Wednesday, June 17th
  • Session 3: Wednesday, July 29th
  • Session 5: Wednesday, September 9th
  • Session 7: Wednesday, October, 21st

For more than a decade, SoCal Grantmakers has invested in cultivating senior-level leadership in philanthropy through our Senior Peer Cohort program, and we are pleased to announce the call for applications for the 2026 evolve Senior Peer Cohort leadership development program. This dynamic peer-learning experience brings together a select group of senior-level foundation staff from SCG’s member organizations to explore leadership, organizational dynamics, collaborative philanthropic impact, and both professional and personal development. Participants will engage in meaningful discussions, reflective learning, and practical tools to enhance their management and leadership.

This unique opportunity enables participants to gain valuable insights from peers in a facilitated setting, helping them to develop leadership skills to prepare for future endeavors.

The deadline to apply for the cohort is Friday, May 15th, 2026.

Target Audience

This program is open to members of Catalyst, Northern California Grantmakers, and Southern California Grantmakers with significant experience (3+ years) as a senior-level leader in program/grantmaking activities, but not yet in the President/CEO/Executive Director position at a grantmaking organization.
