At Catalyst, Anna Maria leads the development and implementation of compelling learning experiences for the Catalyst network of funders, helping them strengthen their impact and build an authentic connection to our community.
Her nonprofit career spans 15 years and reflects a deep commitment to social justice and expanding opportunity for all. She began her nonprofit work advancing educational equity with marginalized Indigenous communities in rural Peru, an experience that shaped her dedication to advance systemic equity, expand opportunity, and amplify voices. Since then, her work has included advocating for children in foster care, leading a youth development organization, and supporting San Diego nonprofits through strategic grantmaking and collaborative initiatives.
Most recently, as Vice President of Programs at the RSF Foundation, she focused on strengthening the San Diego region through the design and launch of a holistic approach to community impact. Anna Maria brings both lived and professional perspective to her work in nonprofit leadership, philanthropic strategy, program execution, and learning design equipping funders with the insight and tools needed to support meaningful community impact.
Anna Maria holds a Bachelor of Science degree and remains a lifelong learner. Outside of her professional work, she is passionate about raising ethical and resilient humans. She enjoys worldschooling, outdoor adventuring, and exploring new cultures and experiences with her identical twin daughters.
