Meet Catalyst’s New Director of People & Culture
We’re pleased to introduce a new addition to the Catalyst team: Denitza Colores, our first Director of People & Culture. In her new role, Denitza will help us strengthen the systems, communication, and team experience that support how we work together as a network. Keep reading to get to know more about her.
In your own words, describe what it is you do at Catalyst:
At Catalyst, I help shape the people, culture, and leadership systems that allow our team to thrive. My work centers on creating clarity, strengthening communication, and building an environment where everyone feels supported, valued, and aligned with our mission. I listen deeply, identify gaps, and develop people-centered strategies that make our work more connected and sustainable. At the heart of it, I help make Catalyst a place where humanity and purpose guide how we work together.
One surprising thing to know about you:
I’m bilingual in Spanish and English, and I will break into karaoke at any moment if the vibe is right. Music has always been my happy place.
Favorite place to go in San Diego or Imperial Counties and why:
La Jolla Shores is my favorite place. The ocean grounds me, recenters me, and reminds me that everything in life moves in waves. It’s where I go to breathe and reset.
Favorite part about working at Catalyst:
The intentionality. From day one, I felt the care and purpose behind how people work here. Catalyst feels like a place where people truly believe in community, collaboration, and doing things the right way.
