Funder Meeting
Border and Immigration Funder Briefing
Wednesday, February 5 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
In light of the rapidly changing policies and funding environment for border and immigration services, our region’s network of support to migrants is experiencing deep and immediate impacts.
Join us for this virtual briefing to get updates on the current landscape and how we can best support community-based organizations as they seek to continue their work.
Participants will hear directly from individuals and organizations providing services and advocacy, and also have time to discuss priorities, strategies, and next steps with other funders.
Topics discussed will include:
- Current policy and legal environment – what’s accurate and what is not?
- How to prepare residents for heightened enforcement actions in our communities.
- Existing and potential infrastructures of care for asylum seekers and refugees in San Diego, Imperial Valley, and Baja California.
- Where support is most needed and how funders can engage.
