Nat De Jesus joins Catalyst as Manager of Programs & Learning, where they lead the development and execution of high quality, compelling learning opportunities for Catalyst’s diverse and sophisticated membership base in the binational region. Nat is a San Diego native that is most familiar with District 8, having grown up in the Logan Heights area, and District 3, graduating among the first class of e3 Civic High School. With over five years of community and digital organizing experience, they have solidified their passion for tech accessibility, authentic representation, and local advocacy for communities facing historic and systemic exclusion from impactful policies and changes.
Prior to their work with Catalyst, Nat facilitated voter outreach and educational support as Communications Coordinator at Engage San Diego, a network of social-justice focused, non-profit groups working to increase civic and voter engagement in San Diego County’s New American Majority communities. They also devoted three years to Catalyst of San Diego & Imperial Counties’ project San Diego Leaders, a coalition whose mission is to empower and equip leaders in underrepresented communities to become decision-makers in government, as a Data Assistant on their RepSD mobile app.
