Macy Olivas is a graduate of Whitworth University where she studied Sociology and Leadership Studies.When she was a senior at The Preuss School UCSD, she became a recipient of The Patricia & Christopher Weil Family Foundation’s MKC College Scholarship. She now serves as the family foundation’s executive director. Her past experience includes working with Teach For America, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Stand For Children, and other educational equality advocacy groups. Macy’s own educational opportunities inspired her interest in education reform and community development. Originally from San Diego, Macy is excited to work alongside individual donors and family foundations in their domestic and international giving. She currently serves on the on the board of San Diego Grantmakers and The Latina Giving Circle of San Diego.
