SUMMARY:Friday Morning Refresh
DESCRIPTION:- Current conditions continue to place enormous demands on us. Still, we have cause for hope: bold new leadership in many places, budgetary step stones toward a just recovery, and a rising tide of action to disrupt systemic racism. Now, as always, we are each asked to bring clarity, generosity, and courage to our efforts to heal, reimagine, and rebuild toward large-scale change. We are invited to make space, in the midst of urgency, to notice more, re-vision priorities, reconnect with ourselves and each other.

SUMMARY:Corporate Philanthropy Session
DESCRIPTION:- A company's commitments to diversity, equity, and inclusion within its corporate social responsibility can significantly differentiate its brand among community members and prospective employees. However, DEI initiatives tend to focus on internal communities while CSR operations focus on external communities. Both, fundamentally, are about reaching out to underestimated communities, welcoming new market insights, and driving collaborative solutions. How can you ensure both teams are connected with shared priorities so they can mutually reinforce one another?

SUMMARY:Addressing Data Gaps for Equitable Implementation of Climate and Disaster Resilience Solutions in California
DESCRIPTION:- Funding for community-based programs for climate and disaster resilience relies on information about who is at risk and who is impacted. Existing data on health and socioeconomic risks of and impacts, especially data that reflect the experiences of socially marginalized populations, are often missing or not collected, resulting in climate and disaster narratives and resourcing efforts that often overlook their voices and needs. As extreme climate events, such as heatwaves, droughts, and wildfires are expected to be more frequent and intense in the coming years, there are tremendous opportunities for philanthropy to catalyze an inclusive effort around data collection and integration, thus ensuring climate and disaster policies and programs include community voices, support frontline communities, and promote sustained community resilience.
