The deep disparities exposed by COVID-19 and the surge of the movement for racial justice in 2020 have altered California's early childhood landscape in critical ways, underscoring the importance of addressing equity and inclusion in the Master Plan report.

DESCRIPTION:- San Diego Economic Development Corporation (https://www.sandiegobusiness.org/) (EDC) is convening a series of “Right Recovery Town Halls” that explore employer-led, market-driven best practices for creating skilled talent, quality jobs, and thriving households. The first of these virtual town halls will focus on leveraging large buyers to preserve and create quality small business jobs. EDC will release preliminary results of the data we have collected, as well as recommendations on how our region can collaborate to grow the pool of small and diverse business vendors and build efficiency and resilience in our regional supply chains. This will be followed by a panel of leadership from regional anchor institutions discussing their own goals and best practices.
