SUMMARY:Awake to Woke to Work: A Framework for Racial Equity in Your Organization | FRE Session 6
DESCRIPTION:- This sixth session of the Foundations of Racial Equity series explores Equity in the Center's “Awake to Woke to Work: Building a Race Equity Culture” publication and framework. Equity in the Center’s research is designed to support leaders as they build and expand their organization’s capacity to advance race equity and transform their culture. In these modules, we’ll engage in a critical conversation on the cases, tactics, and tools that will drive action to combat structural racism in the philanthropic and nonprofit sector.

SUMMARY:Emerging Initiatives to Build Equitable\, Affordable Housing
DESCRIPTION:- An estimated 161,000 unhoused individuals live in California, more than a quarter of the nationwide total (580,000) according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. While the state's acute housing affordability crisis is decades in the making, we are at a tipping point to take the steps necessary to turn the tide. Governor Gavin Newsom's recent California Comeback Plan includes a historic $22 billion worth of investments in affordable housing and other strategies to address homelessness.

SUMMARY:Engaging Indigenous Leadership in Climate and Disaster Resilience
DESCRIPTION:- Increasing impacts from climate change are testing the resiliency of Native peoples and cultures throughout the West. This is exacerbated by more than a century of forced displacement and wealth extraction, marginalization through discriminatory policies and institutions, and land mismanagement by government agencies.
