SUMMARY:Friday Morning Refresh
DESCRIPTION:- Current conditions continue to place enormous demands on us. Still, we have cause for hope: bold new leadership in many places, budgetary step stones toward a just recovery, and a rising tide of action to disrupt systemic racism. Now, as always, we are each asked to bring clarity, generosity, and courage to our efforts to heal, reimagine, and rebuild toward large-scale change. We are invited to make space, in the midst of urgency, to notice more, re-vision priorities, reconnect with ourselves and each other.

SUMMARY:Exploring New Spaces: A Quick Guide To Evaluating Potential New Programmatic Areas
DESCRIPTION:- Many foundations are exploring potential new programs in response to the pandemic, racial reckoning, and threats to our democracy, among many other challenges. This workshop will introduce a structured, efficient process that foundations can use to quickly learn ‘the lay of the land’ in potential new spaces and identify how they can complement – and learn from – the efforts of others as they seek to generate meaningful, measurable impact.

SUMMARY:Can Corporate America Help Build a Racially Just Society? Preview of A CEO Blueprint for Racial Equity 2.0
DESCRIPTION:- In the wake of COVID-19 and a long overdue national reckoning on racism, the call for all sectors to address structural racism has rarely been stronger. Corporate leaders from around the country made commitments in response to the increased demand from the public to take leadership in addressing and funding solutions to end structural racism. But commitments are not enough—companies need advice on how to act.

SUMMARY:Building A Sustainable Climate Future in Inland CA
DESCRIPTION:- Governor Gavin Newsom and his administration have taken significant steps to put California on the path towards a greener, more sustainable climate future. So far, Governor Newsom has pledged to conserve 30 percent of the state's land and coastal water by 2030, announced a phase-out of gasoline-powered vehicles by 2035, and proposed a comprehensive job and climate action plan. The state is enacting bold strategies to combat climate change, all while seeking to reduce the state's carbon footprint and bolster long-term economic growth. In September 2020, the Governor also directed the Office of Planning and Research to partner with the Labor and Workforce Development Agency to design and deliver the state's first Just Transition Roadmap (http://opr.ca.gov/economic-development/#get-involved) by July 2021.
